What a joy! This week’s spiritual message is based on the Tarot card the Lovers I hope these messages help you make faster progress wherever you are in the creative process and bring balance to your life as well.

What a nice card to show up this week which is so full of holiday times, and thinking of generosity towards others. You may be spending time with or thinking about loved ones. You could see the theme of love and bonding in this card. It is perfect also for making those New Years resolutions.

Traditionally this card can also symbolize the independence that happens when a person is drawn to the person they love from the heart, and drawn away from their family or traditions by eros, passion or desire. This card speaks of the obvious themes: love, romance, attraction, sensuality, poetry, art, desire, but also something more intense in the theme of breaking away from the flock to pursue what you love and this big ole’ thing: COMMITMENT.

Ooo scary. In our society so often we skate along the surface, but at this time it’s as if the universe is boiling away some of the fluff, and you may be presented with starker choices. Whatever is before you this week will be symbolic of what you are really committed to– so remember what you love, what is close to your heart. You may be pulling away from some patterns, routines or traditions in favor of those things that are truly beautiful and valuable to you.

Commitment seems like a heavy thing but it doesn’t have to feel so deep down serious. You may find something light hearted about it– think of the analogy of a couple smearing wedding cake all over each others faces. You can be committed to the important things with that sort of playful, joyful and victorious attitude.

Commitment is essential to rapid growth and development as well as intimacy in relationships. So is clear communication and honesty. Be open with yourself to see how you fare in this area: how committed are you to your dreams?

This week’s spiritual message is based on the Knight of Cups Reversed. I hope these messages help you make faster progress wherever you are in the creative process or cycle as a writer, creator or business owner.

Another reversed card, two weeks in a row. Let’s remember that the reversedposition really means we have something new to learn on this topic. It doesn’t mean it’s bad or good.

Once again, and even more strongly this week, we need to be open to listening within to our feelings. We need to let go of feeling Obligated. Sometimes we are going to be feelings highs–and sometimes we are going to be feeling lows. But listen to what you are feeling and it may be a time when you need to chuck old rules and expectations out of the window so you can solve problems more creatively, take your time, get a break,etc, whatever you FEEL like doing. It may be difficult to let go and trust yourself that way, rather than an external authority, but it is what is really needed right now.

Pace yourself because although this may be a final push before the holidays, you will be feeling and reeling in the face of a lot of changes, like the seasons and the beginning of Mercury Retrograde.

Challenge of the week: feeling, accepting our deepest darkest feelings and honoring them (not pushing them away) do they heal and pass us by. OR possibly they give us the strength to be our own knight in shining armor. Anything you have been repressing or unaware of may be coming to light and for good reason: it’s SO time for you to shine, lovie.

Be super kind and gentle to yourself. Although you may feel like you need to take care of other people, let people take care of you. Let you take care of you. Don’t put yourself or your needs last.

This week’s spiritual message is inspired by the Intuitive Tarot card, the Page of Wands Reversed.

It is possible this week that you may receive bad news, or have to rework something for a project. It could also mean that you need to take some time this week to really look inside and attempt to hear the messages that your soul is giving you.

If you have been ignoring some kind of inner call, the signs will get louder and may possibly cause trouble, so admist all the hectic energy of the ramp up to the holidays, be SURE to have downtime to hear your self in the silence. You absolutely need to get clear on what your soul and intuition are trying to tell you, it is VITAL this week. Reach out to me with an email if you want some 1-1 help on this to know what to do next and connect to your intuition.

There is a sense of newness to the ideas or projects you are working on but it is easy to get frustrated. Part of you may want to give up. At the same time this situation may provoke new innovations that will assist you in the long run. Be open to new solutions and do not give up hope. This situation will show you a new side of yourself.

This part of you has been waiting to emerge for a long time. You may receive confirmation messages around your core purpose that echo things you have been feeling for quiet some time now. Maybe it won’t all be “new” things you learn this week, maybe more reminders of what is vitally important to you right now and in2017.

This week, a new emerging creative power is coming forward, through our feelings, our passion, our actions and deeds.

Trust yourself and your ideas! This week drops of divine inspiration are making their way towards you, like brilliant drops of water sliding down lines of spidersilk.

You must trust yourself, and continue to breathe deeply and make space to receive these gems of insight. Take time for space to receive and take care of yourself. This will help you know the difference between the chatter of your ego mind, and the true direction of your highest and wisest self.

Listen and prepare because soon you will have the strength, power and clarity to roar like a lion, and spread your gifts, message and perspective with the world. You are here to make a difference. Things are changing. But give yourself the right to enjoy the process. Take breaks and savor the good things.

This card bodes well for creators and innovators.

Lately I am finding these themes are repeating over a long period of time...also this week we start the Pre Shadow of Mercury Retrograde. I will likely be talking more about what that means in future weeks. Basically–these themes are here to stay for a while, and we will likely be recycling them.

But this is a great week to go easy on yourself because you can’t get it all done right now.In fact you have a long time to wrap up what you are working on, but the most important thing right now is to get clear on what is important and what needs to happen FIRST.

I continue to desire a deep connection with you even in these confusing times where I have so many thoughts, it’s difficult at times to know where to start.

I’ll start by saying this week has been an up and down, rough ride for me. I’ve talked to many people that are hurting.

What pains me the most is seeing disenfranchised grief unfolding–disenfranchised grief is a loss and grieving process undertaken when a person feels misunderstood by society or the people around them. This includes people not understanding why that loss was so extreme and merits an emotional response. My Professor Jeffreys taught me this and has a book called “When Tears are Not Enough” if you’d like to read more on grief. Feeling misunderstood in your grief takes longer to heal and can be very complicated if we can’t process it.

With so many people hurting for so many reasons, I urge you to be kind to yourself and let’s all do our best to consider that others may be hurting for entirely different reasons and motivations that we may understand.

Something useful may be to meditate with the feeling that something bigger in the universe understands everything you are feeling. You can do this by sitting quietly with your physical sensations and bringing in an understanding light to witness with you or an angel to hold you in whatever you feel right now. Just allowing yourself to feel it as legitimate and imagine you are accompanied and understood deeply without even needing to explain or justify your feelings. Only by honoring what you feel will you be able to process and let it go.

That brings me to the theme of the week: Releasing Limiting Thoughts. One of the big ones I have been releasing for example is that my voice doesn’t matter. Considering I have nearly a thousand people I can email weekly, and send posts to, you may think it strange, but it goes to show that we all have our ways of framing reality that can get in our way. This week we will be better able to release and let these unhelpful thoughts go so we can step into our purpose.

I’m speaking so much about Purpose today because it was the major theme in my Monthly Forecast and Healing Session that I record monthly on the Full Moon for my members. That was Monday.

I’ve been wanting to write to you and it has been an evolving process to find what I want to say. I am committed to remaining in deep connection with you, so here goes.

But what’s coming to me to share is that you hold the keys to your reality.

This is the message–and a joyful one–that I want you to know about.

Maybe you are aware that on social media, I share a weekly reading. The outlook this week is very positive. I know many people are feeling anxious and upset by the election happening today.

In fact yesterday I heard the Director of GRASSROOTS, a suicide prevention organization in Maryland, and he said they anticipate an increase in suicidal behavior after this election. It has been a ramping up of mental health problems as it has approached, which is an increase from previous elections as well. If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts please direct them to check out this free app and hotline.

My heart goes out to anyone feeling upset today. Apologies if this note makes you feel upset but it seems too important not to mention. Several groups of people and I have spent time in prayer and energy work. I’m not affiliated with any religion but I believe in the power of setting a positive intention. I know many people are praying today across the planet.

Let’s be open to celebrating and appreciating the good things going on in our lives. Please protect yourself from negativity, if you need to avoid certain news sources today or facebook or want to seclude yourself, that is ok. If you want to be with friends or family, that is ok, too.

But most of all today I want to say: Let yourself have a lot of heart and a little bit of fire. We will all have lives that continue on tomorrow.

As we approach the new year, it is time to plant seeds and bulbs that will sprout later. But you won’t be able to plant the best seeds if you don’t know what is truly going to make you happy, and how can you know that if you don’t let yourself believe in something or believe good things are possible for YOU.

If you don’t let yourself want for something and get passionate about it because you can’t allow your heart to go there, then the door is going to be closed. YOU hold the key to your reality, by embracing a lot of heart and even just a little bit of fire, sweet Sofia.

Note that this has nothing to do with the election this is about letting yourself want things that are only about you. What do you want? Why do you want it?

There’s a special quality of apathy that sets in after we have been disappointed that keeps us confused and stuck. Be careful to notice this. I invite you to see those places of apathy, sit with them, and explore how to heal so that you can have a lot of heart and a little bit of fire in your life.

Sometimes guilt can set in and block us but we can turn it around. Yesterday as I heard the speaker talk about suicide in my graduate Loss and Bereavement Class at Loyola, I felt my whole body have a reaction. I realized that the fear I was feeling wasn’t just discomfort with the subject but I was feeling survivor’s guilt because my mother died indirectly from self-destructive actions. I’ve heard about survivor’s guilt a billion times but only now did I realize how it colors MY experience, and how it has gotten in my way.

Finding clarity on what was wrong turned everything around and I felt myself expanding and transforming–full of heart and a bit of fire, too. I know I instantly became a gift to the rest of my class by raising my vibration and that of the room. A fellow student reflected to me about my uplifting presence today. But I have been through a lot, and I know that this sort of shift is possible for us all.

I hear something along the lines of this from women writers and creative entrepreneurs  ALL the time:

“No one gets me cuz I’m weird (or geeky, or different).”

-or-

“No one gets my work because it’s hard to describe (or complex, or different).”

But here’s what REALLY is going on, as I heard a colleague say recently:

“It’s not that you’re too weird. It’s that you’re not weird enough.”

Here’s the thing – what makes you unique, different and unlike ANYONE else – is what SETS YOU APART from everyone else doing similar work.

Your weirdness is important.

How you are UNIQUE is your POSITIONING, your “Unique Selling Position” or “Value Proposition.”

But often we resist showing our uniqueness in our Marketing, worried we’ll be too weird.

And showing our quirky or weird in video?

Hell, no.

That’s exactly the problem!

Until we find a way to STAND OUT and GET HEARD among the numerous others who do similar work or who have a similar message, we can not have the kind of impact, reach and success we want.

But figuring out the ways you and your services are TRULY UNIQUE can be elusive (to say the least).

Here’s a hint: You find your Positioning in your quirky, your point of view and your strong opinions.

You don’t have to figure this all out alone.
