Using the Internet to Connect with People Better

I’m having fun over here and I’m trying to crack myself up at all times. Things are going pretty good to that end. How about you?

Let’s be real. Life can be FULL of disappointments but I truly believe that humans are incredible.

We can create good out of almost any situation. Or create beauty. You get me.

Don’t forget you have the POW-ah. That’s my 90s way of saying power, and it is more fun, and probably also involves wearing a costume.

Did you leave your costume behind somewhere or are you wearing it today?

Anyway, I wanted to write you a note because I realized I forgot something!

I wrote an article recently and whoops, I forgot to mention it!

How to Use the Internet for Deeper Connection

Here is a taste:

If you’ve been online, then you’ve probably had experiences that have made you feel uncomfortable or disconnected. You’ve visited dark corners where people shout negative comment after negative comment. You put yourself out there, got crickets back or responses that didn’t make you feel great.

But what if the internet could help you create new or better connections with other people? What if, instead of feeling like the internet was just a place to consume alone, it could be a place for real and deeper relationships to form?

Having been a blogger for 20 years and coaching other people to write and share online for 10, I firmly believe this is true. The internet can be a magical place.

I myself have benefited from the friendships I’ve formed through sharing and communicating online. I get to work with people who are my friends that also became clients. I’ve shared personally online and had my heart expand like the Grinch from all those beautiful connections.

You can shift the things that you put out online through your website or social media, so that you are inviting a deep response from people who really get you.

They are out there, but first you need to send out the bat signal!

To do this requires intention, but if you’ve been despairing that your web presence is messed up or not working–read on for what to do next to make a big change in your results.
