Social media, for example–if I write a post, often it’s hot for a minute and then it’s gone.
So I love it when something I’ve written or created is still useful to people years later.
Ahhhh! What a surprise–A Youtube video I made in 2014 just got a new comment!
It really did! Why is that?
Well, the video shows how to use a prayer to Archangel Gabriel to have an easier time of Mercury Retrograde.
The subject is still relevant of course–because no one enjoys communication, technology, or travel issues.
I even rewatched the video myself–I just got my website back online after being out for days. I really hope technology, travel, and I can work together in the next month!

Whether it’s for your book, blog, business, or another project, you could end up reusing something years down the road.
Mercury retrograde is also a great time for recycling, revising, or modifying things. Even ideas that didn’t totally work the first time around can end up becoming something new and sparkly!
I needed to rework my business to accommodate more writing on my upcoming New Adult paranormal romance series Blood Witch.
It led to me giving my whole business over to the universe in a meditation and saying, “Hey, universe! I’m looking for clarity on what to do and some signs, please!”
I’m totally excited about the idea and it’s a reworking of so man things I am passionate about: the beach, intuition, collaborating in community, fantasy, sensuality and creativity.

I followed a hunch to make that Gabriel Prayer for Mercury Retrograde video years ago.
Now it has over a thousand views and keeps getting more seven years later.
Lately, I have been praying a lot for clarity on the shape of my business as I continue to travel, write my books for the Blood Witch series, and so on.
I was feeling a little down last week to be honest. All the change and uncertainty can really be anxiety-producing. And it’s time to pivot!
Maybe, if you are a business owner, you understand what I mean? Or if not, you can try being in my shoes and get a little taste of what it is like to be an entrepreneur trying to level up.
Since 2013, I have been helping people write, create, and reach their goals. I’ve helped with books, businesses, music careers, and more.
Not only has it felt good, but helping people pays bills.
However, because writing more is super important to me and I’m tired of waiting for some miracle to drop in my lap,I am making a pivot.
I’m writing my fiction series Blood Witch and aiming to pay my bills with book sales by the end of 2021.
I just have to finish them!
Problem: how do I keep helping people in a big way AND write these books of mine, in the most efficient way possible?
Thank goodness I believe in surrendering because I was feeling discouraged as to the HOW, and I was getting into a pretty negative funk last week.
I had to trust.
I gave my business over to the universe and was like, “Hey, universe! I’m looking for clarity on what to do and some signs, please!”
Then I let all the machinations go and went to the beach. I convinced my fiance Andrew to do the two hours there and back for Valentine’s Day.
Luckily for me, he really likes making me happy 😀 and he also enjoys the beach.
I just lay on the sand for the nice 70-degree day we had randomly. (It’s now gotten colder again so I’m glad we bathed in warmth when we could. As I write, it has started snowing!)
The beach is my special place.
Later, when we were waiting for the train back, and I remembered something I’d noticed the previous day.
I just finished a book and remembered the caption that really lit my fire in the first place.
When I saw the Book of Speculation at Barnes and Nobles a few months before, I turned it over to read this snippet from Oprah.com on the back.
“Mermaids, tarot card readers, a wild man, and other circus performers…”
I didn’t need to know anything more! Sold. I bought the book on the spot even tho it was $16 I hadn’t intended to spend.
Why? Because the words, “Mermaids” + “Tarot” lit my brain up like a Christmas tree. I had to have it.
How often are those things paired together? Seemingly never.
And yet I am obsessed.
Thinking back to this, I suddenly felt all the pieces flow together with some divine insight.
It gave me the idea of something I could create to help people…

If I could give all my clients this one mantra to repeat when they get overwhelmed, it’d be this:
“I love being able to choose.”
Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do next because we forget this.
Like when: -There are a lot of things on your list and you want to figure out what the “best” thing to work on is. -You are working on a project, trying to figure out how to do it “right.” -You want to know what to write, create, or what to post for your business and what you are “supposed” to do.
In all these situations you are looking for one, singular, right option–and you forget you have a choice.
You forget what a gift the ability to choose really is.
Remember having choices is a privilege and a POWER. Stop thinking there are only two options: one right choice + everything else is wrong.
Having a choice means have multiple options. It’s a rainbow, darling! You have so many different ways you can go.
Instead of getting overwhelmed trying to do it “right,” let go, breathe and repeat this mantra:
“I love being able to choose.”
And remember the rainbow
