What 2020 taught me…
This whole 2020 has been such a journey of love and joy. Joy was my word of the year and I just want to reflect that I’ve never felt so much joy. This year I have also felt some incredible lows, but I’ve really felt how important connection is.
I thought I understood that before, but this year was different. I really made connections in a deeper way, with my fiance. I also made deeper connections with my wonderful roommates, friends and family.
And I realized too, just how important it is for all of us to connect. In these last few months I created a group called the Creative Vision and Action Community. And I’ve been seeing how other people in the group are benefiting so much from connections. It seems like something beyond me now.
So, anyway, it’s been a beautiful, crazy, wonderful year. And it’s taught me that the real value of writing and creating, which is a passion of mine that I’ve been talking and blogging about for a decade–The real beauty of it is that it helps you connect to yourself.
Secondly, it helps you connect that self to others who really understand.
Whether:
-You’re an entrepreneur that just wants to sell your services and hopes that someone will appreciate your gift,
-You’re a person who feels unheard and unseen or lost in a dark place, sometimes feeling small or powerless in this situation that we find ourselves to be today,
-You feel different or alone,
-You’re a writer and you just don’t know if your work is good enough,
-You’re an artist and your work is not out there yet or you don’t know if anyone’s going to buy it,
-Or if you are ready to put work or services online,
**Know there is a value in connecting to people and you’re not going to get there if you hold back.**
So I hope to give you a spark of courage and inspiration today to help make it easier for you to put your true voice out there in the world, because when you do your whole life can change.
