Philosophy: Who is The Book Priestess?

SofiaWrenTheBookPriestess Once upon a time there was a girl named Sofia Wren who at the tender age of 27 began to hear a name, “The Book Priestess,” that took a year to understand.

As she worked to find her place in the word, a title to describe her skills and talents, “The Book Priestess” was a whisper that kept rustling inside of her.

What does it mean?

She could feel it’s power and she wondered how to explain it to others.

There was a book inside of her heart always wanting to be born. A masterpiece, something of fine quality that she could be truly proud to share. Something that would leave a legacy to pass on to others one day.

She had published one book, and now another was almost done.  Meanwhile she was working to help other writers complete their drafts, and was successful in that task, too.

But although her mind went to literal books first, she knew there had to be another explanation because it thrilled her to help authors and it seemed like a name for so much more.

To be The Book Priestess is to be in communication with the divine force that runs through all things, to read and to carry messages from The Book of Life.

Writers and creators need these answers and the deep sense of connection that comes from tuning into the Soul of their Creative projects. It is then that they can make faster progress in a way that really fits them. Those Creative Souls hold spiritual records which a knowing Book Priestess can open.

Sofia Wren worked keeping order in libraries for 7 years through college and after, and so was immediately drawn to a spiritual library called the Akashic Records. She’s worked in the Records since 2011.

The Akashic Records Institute (which certified Sofia Wren) defines the Akashic Records as:

The Akashic Records is a collective of consciousness, of all the thoughts, actions, emotions and experiences that ever occurred in the Earth. All civilizations, all lifetimes, all realities.

When we [and our creations] made the decision to be born, a field of energy is created to record every thought, word, emotion and action generated by that experience. That field of energy is the Akashic Records.

Akashic because it is composed of Akasha (the energetic substance from which all life is formed) and Records because its objective is to record all life experience.

The Akashic Records holds an ethereal, holographic collection of information from the human consciousness from the past, present and potentials for the future.

Each soul has its own Akashic Record and there are collective Records of all souls and all journeys. That explains why the Records are everywhere, whether in a planet, a crystal, a plant or inside a person.

We are all here to learn and evolve and everyone was doing the best they knew how, regardless of how it may look today.

The Records are everywhere. They are within us and around us.

The Akashic Records contain all past, present and future possibilities for living and non-living beings in the Earth. They contain a collection of everything that has occurred in the past and they hold information on an array of options regarding possibilities for the future.

One way to understand the Akashic Records is to envision the Records as a big metaphorical library that contains the entire history of your Soul, as well as every aspect of who you are now and all the potential for your future.”

Being the Book Priestess is a calling that Sofia Wren has embraced because it was meant for her. It was supposed to be her, even before she fully understood the job that she was doing to serve other people. It was a part of her Record.
Having passed through a number of rigorous intuitive and healing certification programs over the last 4 years she has been in business, Sofia Wren has long been known as “Spot-on” in her accuracy.

The Book Priestess does not offer general “life advice” or coaching from a sense of strategy alone. Nor deos she offer mere personal opinion. She is an intuitive tapping into the Creative Soul of your creations, writing and/or business to offer you spiritual perspective.

This perspective allows you to short-cut through your journey by coming into alignment with your Book of Life, as well as the information contained in the records or Books belonging to those things you are creating.

Being in alignment is the fastest way to make progress. Rapid healing of emotional concerns is possible. Extreme momentum can be fostered. Miracles can happen.

Only by tapping into the voice of the soul can you avoid the problems caused by the ego.

Contact Sofia Wren if you are interested in discussing your project (including writing or business creations such as blogs, books, online courses, talks, marketing campaigns, etc.) and hear a recommendation from Sofia Wren about your next steps.

She could recommend free videos, resources, articles, other practitioners or even work with her Creative Soul and Creative Confidence programs if that’s a right fit to bring you fastest momentum on your projects.

SofiaWrenCreativeSoulWhether you are a writer, artist or a business owner, understanding the function of the soul of what you are creating will save you a lot of headache AND heartache.

Because you wouldn’t approach a canvas without a paintbrush, or a notebook without a pen, or a battlefield without a weapon..

So why approach a creative process without understanding the most important tool of all?

Everything is creation; so if you are wondering how I can generalize to say that writing is just like entrepreneurship, THAT’s how.

For the purposes of this discussion let’s call this: Creative Soul.

That is the soul of what you create, like a book, a blog, a class, a business offer, not the soul of a creation person.

This creative soul has very similar functions to that of YOUR soul. I’ve been reading about the nature of the soul for my Masters in Spiritual and Pastoral Care at Loyola, and the book The Holy Longing by Rolheiser inspired me this week to apply those learnings to the Creative Soul.

The two functions of any soul are:

  1. Energy

  2. Adhesion

The Creative Soul, i.e. the soul of what you are creating, also serves these two very important functions.

Now let’s elaborate a little bit more about these functions.

1. Energy.

The soul is the heart of the creative power and energy that allows you to enjoy creating.

The creative process is all about tapping into energy: it’s a flood when inspiration is pouring through your pen, and it is elating when you have that inspiring click in your business creation. It makes your heart soar. It makes your heart beat faster. It makes you smile, gleeful, playful and excited.

Everything in the universe is made of energy, so you are uniting with all that is through the creative process. However, your project has a specific and separate energy from anything else (more in part 2) including separate from yours. That’s what makes it’s Creative Soul distinct.

2. Adhesion

Without something to tie everything together and direct our actions, ideas by themselves are meaningless in the physical world.

This is true no matter how many ideas you have, and no matter how brilliant they are.

Pursuing ideas without the crux could be a gigantic waste of time resulting only in failure.

True artists pursue ideas with soul. The execution of the guidance given by the Creative Soul results in mastery.

Think about it: All the greats in art have a cohesive style that makes things them. In business we call it a brand, and in writing we call it a voice.

The thing that glues all the pieces together into a coherent whole is the Creative Soul.

The Creative Soul is what you have been looking for. It is the key to the lock.  It doesn’t even matter what the situation is, the soul always has the answer because it ties everything together that would otherwise fall apart. It is literally connected to every facet of the creative process including it’s full manifestation in form, or what I call the guidelines for “its perfect unfolding.”

So if your process feels scattered or you feel lost right now–then you need soul.

If you can’t find the answer to the puzzle or put all the pieces together just right, you probably are missing soul.

Swirling ideas or thoughts don’t translate well into action. This can be the plague of too ideas without a connection to the Creative Soul. Those disconnected ideas can seem enticing or exciting but they can also cause you to go into overwhelm. Overwhelm is  a neurological response to being overstimulated that cripples your thought process and is physically uncomfortable as your body goes into fight or flight mode.

Overwhelm is what I call one of the banes of creation, along with overthinking and confusion. All of these things can be an indication that you are missing the soul piece.

Two things can happen if you don’t have that adhesive quality of the soul to help you:

You could easily either sit with all the thoughts and ideas forever as you hunt for the soul and never take any action, OR you could take action in the totally wrong direction that takes you farther away from the soul of your creation.

Do you see how absolutely important the soul is?

It’s essential and it strikes me as nuts that not as many people talk about this.

To be fair I have influences that discuss the soul in business like Hiro Boga, or Tara Marino. But I don’t hear people talking about the importance of the soul in the creative process of writing quite so much. Anyway…

Often times the soul is that missing link that you have been looking for this whole time. Can you believe it is really that simple

Well, it is.

I believe what is more difficult is wrapping our minds around it because it’s really a matter of feeling into it. We need to engage not only our mind in the creative process but also our bodies, hearts, and spirits. We need to connect our soul to that we are getting, in a healthy and productive way with boundaries.

Our cognitive minds don’t understand souls because they can’t feel. Our heart and being understand the Creative Soul once they are able feel it and identify it’s distinct and cohesive qualities.

Putting it all Together

My job is connecting people to the Creative Soul, i.e the soul of their creations, including writing books, blogs, creating courses for sale, etc.

I’m like a bridge or a mediator.

Let me provide an example of what happens when we are missing this connection to creative soul, and what happens when we get that connection back.

Last week I talked to a lovely woman recently about a course she was planning to offer, as well as everything she need to do to market it. At first it was clear she didn’t have access to the soul. She appeared confused, asking a lot of questions all over the place, seeking something to pull it all together. She also seemed a little dejected. Overwhelmed. Heavy. Like she had a headache. She might literally have put her hands on her head and exhaled in a sigh of frustration. From her perspective it probably felt hard, and sorting through the conundrums was kind of depressing.

That’s why we need ENERGY and cohesion. Our souls light up when we feel a connection to the soul of what we are creating.  Light bulb moment.

By the end of our conversation she was feeling clear, excited and bubbly. We had moved on but she still kept randomly saying, “Yay I am so excited,” in a sing-song voice, doing a little dance in her chair, because she was feeling the energy. Feeling the soul. It fed her the energy she needed, like plugging into an electric socket.

She ended up taking strategic action instantly and successfully in the 24 hours after our talk.

If she hadn’t plugged into the soul of her course launch, she could still be confused and circling right now. She would feel disconnected from exactly what she needed to move forward. That probably wouldn’t have made her soul feel very good either.

This is what my client said about what happened as we talked, “I have had this in the back of my head for months. It was all floating around and then it all clicked into place as I was talking to you. I know what to do now. Yay! I am so excited.”

Not only did I help her know the next step, but she felt that click of the adhesive properties of the soul sliding into place. It gives us a completeness that feels so good, and it also gives us energy to make good things happen.

The next day she put a sign up link out there on facebook and immediately saw that a dozen people had signed up right away.

Attracting Big Opportunities

Not only does your connection to the soul of your creation help you to create more quickly, easily and in a feel good way, but it also feels good to other people around you.

People like creations with soul. The energy and cohesive clarity of it hits people viscerally. They feel it and it’s a draw, it’s a pull, it’s a rope drawing in exactly those people that were meant to interact with your creation.

So if you want more people reading your writing, or signing up to work with you in your business, then you definitely want soul to inspire you as you create.

I hope this article finds you well and inspired.

Stay tuned, as I will soon be announcing a super easy way for you to find out more specifically about the Creative Soul of what YOU are working on so you can feel energized, inspired and always know what to do next.

Thank you for reading!

So far it’s been a blessing to receive your comments and encouragement on these articles. The number of people who seem to enjoy this series is really striking! I believe it’s because of exactly what I have shared: this article was written with soul.

Blessings

If you don’t know me, I’m a big believer in the magic of the creative process.

I want to share a really important message that is coming up for me in my process right now, and for the people I work with.

Everything you want to create is already created-

the heart’s desires calling out to you that you feel angst around or maybe some fear, or you are stuck on the next step or challenge–it’s already DONE.

In fact, not only is it done, but it wants to tell you how to make yourself see it done the way it sees itself done.

What I mean is that we can and should enter a dialogue with our creations rather than try to jam our way of thinking on it.

Imagine how it feels when someone tries to put you in a box–it doesn’t feel good does it?

No, it really doesn’t. No one likes that, least of all the beautiful glorious thing that is your creation.

It HATES it being put into a box. So stop putting it there.

Remember it is really its own creation.

No one really owns creations, we can try and own them but if we don’t get moving then they are taken over by someone else.

Do any of us really OWN inspiration, either?

It’s a part of that magic of the universe connected to the great spirit in all things.

It’s pure magic, and magic is a part of all of us, owned by none, free.

Capture ideas but they will be gone if you don’t use them responsibly.

What I feel really needs to be said today is what I need to remind myself often:

Stop trying to tell your creations what to do, or how to be.

Stop telling your book it needs to be done now,

your business that it needs to produce now,

your way or the highway,

and LISTEN to what it has to say to you.

Maybe it wants things done in a different way than you want it.

Your Ego Hates Change and Working with your Creations Makes Change Happen.

The truth is that when you get super specific on the way the process is “supposed” to work to please you and make YOU feel good, that’s your ego getting in the way of change.

It doesn’t like change and when you start listening to your creations, you start making a change rather quickly and that freaks the EGO the hell out!!

So please take a moment today and tune in–what does your writing want from you?

What do you want from it?

Where’s the disconnect?

If you are a business owner, do the same

what do you want from your business?

and what does it want from you?

Where have you been resisting what it has to say?

Do you have trouble hearing the difference? Are you stuck?

Contact me to talk to me about it,

I would love to help you feel more connected.

That’s what I do– translate and meditate the relationship between creater and creation,

so you can make faster progress and really be understood.

writingfreeSofiaWrenHello February! We had some funny things happen last month during Mercury Retrograde. You may have found yourself being very reflective or maybe you even feel like you got off track of what you want to go this year.

Saturday at 2 PM EST, we will be rereading our journals together in a sacred space community environment, online, so you can join remotely or watch the replay.

Together we can release the past, reflect and reconnect with what is really important to get done this month ahead as we go roaring into 2016. This creates both a clean slate and a sense of focus and excitement for the times ahead.

Is there anything you have forgotten?

It’s such a gratifying practice to take some time around the New Moon each month to reread old journals or written notes. Nothing falls in the cracks that way.

This session also marks the end of the Sacred Writing Challenge which is just ending (Add April 16th 2016 to your calendar if you’d like to join the next round). So many participants may be referring to the writing they did over the last 3 weeks from the challenge.

Let’s meet the rest of the month fully prepared and finish some things, start some new things and have some fun. Join me if you like in this free online event which you can turn on at your convenience to reflect, review and plant seeds for the future.

(PS Contact me here if you need any help making faster progress in your creative goals and writing, because that’s what I do )

Just a reminder to you that the final rereading and kickoff event will be LIVE February 6th at 2 PM EST

Yes there will be a replay (at the same link)

See you there!

Sofia Wren

The last month has been fabulous for my writing practice as I’ve taken part in participating and leading the Sacred Writing Challenge. There have been many new discoveries for me even as a seasoned writer.

Like Creative Anger.

Creative Anger is not something I hear many people talk about.

In fact growing up I always got the sense of being afraid of anger, and that having anger was a scary, dangerous thing that could definitely lead to hurting other people’s feelings.

Maybe I felt it inevitable that anger from others always hurt me. It made me feel misunderstood, because I always have the best of intentions, and hooked into past feelings of being alone, unwanted, uncared for and ultimately unprotected from the chaos of the universe threatening to annihilate me. So when some one was angry, I felt all of that come up.

I don’t like to make people feel things I don’t like to feel.

I told my friend today about how my new understanding of my fear of being unwanted (which I discovered and name during this round of the Sacred Writing Challenge) it connected to something I used to do as a child.

As a kid I never really got into stuffed animals. I would get so many as gifts. I think kids are hard to buy for at a certain age and so people just give them gifts. I think I may have received many when my mother died, too, or from people who felt sadness around me, so it wasn’t a “clean” gift energetically, it might have reminded me of those things, too.

Anyway, I would round up all the bears and bunnies in a circle so they could all face each other. Later in Americorps we would have all our meetings in circles because it equalizes everyone and gives them honor. But after a little bit I would be at a loss of what to do with the bears–interacting with them as a group was difficult, there was no back and forth no matter what the performance. As individuals, the bears confounded me because if I paid too much attention to one favorite bear or even a few, then the others might feel left out and that’s no good.

I didn’t want to hurt the feelings of any bears.

Ultimately, I didn’t want any of my stuffed animals to feel unwanted. I knew how that felt and that felt bad.

The sheer number of these bears and my own young age made this an impossible task for me to keep up, so I squirreled all of them away in my closet, never to be played with again. At some age in middle school where it’s totally appropriate to let go of old such toys, I send them all to Goodwill and was finally released from the curse of too many stuffed animals.

I share this example because I’ve been continuing to explore the feelings of being unwanted and how this has played out many ways in my life. In my business, too, I admit I don’t want any Sacred Writing bears to feel left out and I definitely felt bad when I got busy with grad school and couldn’t give individual comments to everyone’s responses for a few days last week.

But anger is the same way.

I think anger gets a bad wrap ultimately because so many of us have been hurt by anger growing up or in some other area of life. That’s why it is so dangerous–it will hurt people and then we will be the awful perpetrators of that anger. We will now have something in common with the very people who made us feel that way hurt. And so it is better to be the victim, not harming anyone else, even if we never get beyond a certain point.

I say this from my own experience and lense so if this offends you please know I don’t mean it to.

But what I really want to explore about anger is it’s power to create.

The ancient goddess Pele is a goddess of the volcano. Volcanic eruptions brew under the surface for some time and then they explode all over the place– they go berserk, spewing forth hot magma and dust so that for miles the air is hardly breathable to anyone. The magma burns to the touch and can consume whole cities, no matter how intellectual or advanced they are, they can all be lost seemingly in moments.

But it takes a while to get to that point, and when all is said and done, when the fires have cooled, when the land returns to the sounds of the birds and the waves and the ocean tides…there is new creation.

It comes in the destruction, it comes with a cost but there is a newness and an openness that allows for possibilities to come to fruition that never would have before. There is an opportunity and a power to create that comes with anger. There is a beauty and a richness to exploring the new in a way that will shatter the past beyond all recognition. It is an awakening. It is a gasp of fresh life, it is an inhalation that comes out of an exhalation, and then there is a scream of exhilaration. The creative process is beautiful and it has long threatened the powers that be. Because it can and will change everything.

There comes a time, a moment, a process, an eternity where we begin to reap the energetic harvest of creative anger.

When we push against the face and forms of the past as if to say, “No more. No longer, I am born here and I will not rest until this is over and I stand victorious, over the shell of what was, creating anew in my honor. This is me. This is life. You are wrong.”

There is a fierceness in creation that serves us when we feel downtrodden or stuck or aimless, unsure, so many things.

Because our mind will always try to tell us we were wrong. The island doesn’t exist until the volcano blows. The island is not predictable, how will the magma land, how will the water shape it’s cooling? I don’t know until I see it, until it happens.

The volcano doesn’t have a mind to say, “Well, if you don’t know what it looks like, don’t bother, maybe you should think a little bit about this first, I dunno, it looks risky, could be a load of crap. Just saying (to help you),” right?

It’s laughable, and there is laughter in creative anger. It’s happy. It’s happy to be focused, and aggressive and it’s tired of waiting for it to all fall into place.

It’s ready to MAKE it. MAKE it Happen NOW.

The other day as I was doing prompt number 17 of the SWC I felt this shift into creative anger and I got in touch with a force that is powerful beyond knowing. I wanted to bring this up with you to give you permission to tap into that power.

Give Yourself Permission to Dip into Your Creative Anger.

This challenge is like a live wire, and getting any where near it is sure to spark something–wether you just heard of it, or you are doing it, or a friend is, those sparks are FLYING.

You can catch it if you want just by interacting with MY words now: you are a spark, you are a volcano.

Are you ready to blow?

What will you create? Who cares, why are you doing it? Do you feel it in your heart and belly? Do you feel the fire calling you to participate, to dance in it’s flames? Are you ready to run forward and take a stab at it? Let yourself. Let yourself go.

Create.

And now I have to ask: Have you experienced Creative Anger? How did it feel to you? Were you scared or unwilling to let yourself feel it? Did you push it away? Or did you dive in? What happened?

Leave a comment! Or please share this post with a friend.

SacredWritingChallenge2.21SofiaWrenToday I am announcing the start of the next Sacred Writing Challenge will be Saturday January 16, 2016.

Since I’ve become a professional intuitive consultant, people ask me all the time how they can become more intuitive, always know what to do next and make everything easier and clearer in their own lives.

The absolute first tool I ever used to improve my intuition is writing!

It’s a great question. I know writing helped me speak up more, take better care of myself and focus on what’s important in my life and business.

I believe everyone is intuitive at some level already. I always try to give my clients tools they can use when I am not around because that is true empowerment, and writing is the best suggestion I can give.

It a simple and inexpensive thing to do. For $5 you can get a bag of pens and a cute notebook.

Even if you write as much as me, which is about 5-6 pages a day now, that could last you a month or more.

Since summer of 2009 when I read The Artist’s Way, I’ve been faithfully writing 3 pages a day and beyond.

The idea may seem daunting, so to get you started with daily writing, and alllll of it’s many benefits I am holding 21 day Sacred Writing Challenge beginning on January 16th.

Each day I will post a prompt or question for you to answer in your own words on paper and post an update or excerpt of your work.

webinar-cal1Mercury has begun it’s shadow period and will be transiting retrograde shortly after the New Year on January 5th 2016.

How will this affect us and our goals for the New Year?

Many people fear Mercury Retrograde but I’ve come to like it as a writer, and creative entrepreneur. So I love sharing about this event when it happens.

Last week I had the pleasure of interviewing astrologist Ainslie Faust about Mercury Retrograde to get you more information on how this might affect you this time around.

Watch the interview with astrologist Ainslie below to learn more about Mercury Retrograde for Dec 2015-Feb 2016.

Ainslie shared some important dates

December 19th, 2015 Mercury begins it’s shadow period in Capricorn

January 1st, 2016 Mercury begins it’s storm

January 5th, 2016 Mercury transits retrograde in Aquarius

January 25th, 2016 Mercury transits direct on 14 degrees Capricorn

February 14th, 2016 ends it’s shadow period at 13 Aquarius

The most intense days are the days it goes retrograde and direct–so you might want to add those to your calendar as days to take it easy in your communications.

What makes the entire period special? Well, that’s what this whole interview is about!

We all so discuss what kind of activities get a BOOST during this time.

Mercury often goes retrograde, and I’ve created a number of resources for you if you would like to learn more.

writingfreeSofiaWrenIt’s the most introverted day of the year! Horray and to celebrate I got some people together to create an On-Demand Event so we can dive in, gain energy from rereading old writing, reflect on the past and get really clear on the year ahead.

Get clear, Click here for the free event for Winter Solstice 2015

I’ve been doing these for a year now. You can hear about why I reread on the Winter Solstice from last year’s free gifts post.

So today for my winter solstice event I dove into old notebooks and journals including Leonie Dawson’s workbook and got in touch with what I wanted for myself this earlier year.

I had wanted to feel recognized and loved and wanted and valuable–and now I really do. I want to celebrate by sharing with everyone I can reach. In March I was applying for grad school, and uncertain if I would fit in because I am nondenominational, earth-based, spiritual and and a priestess who honors divine feminine AND divine masculine in the cosmos. Let’s be honest, I felt really different and scared that I was TOO different.

I was struggling to overcome old patterns of feeling alone, small, unrecognized, different because of my intuitive and creative gifts and background. I had a lot of baggage pulling down and keeping me a little uncertain of myself and my path.

There have been SO many things that helped me but I just wanted to say that I wrote it down. I wrote down and shared with others how I felt and what I wanted. There is so much magic in writing things down, requesting help and sharing in safe space. That’s part of why I do events like this.

I now take it for granted that I am not alone and I am recognized for my unique gifts. All I have to do now is open up my mouth and sing or check the feedback on my daily readings on facebook and instagram, or talk to any of my clients and they totally reflect respect and admiration back all the time. I’ve surrounded myself with constant check ins with my friends, coaches, readers, fans, and entrepreneurial family.

I have moved on from where I was this spring, and I am celebrating that really really hard. I feel so much freer.

Just as I celebrate and review the past, I find clarity on where I am going.

What I am working on now is getting other people out of my head. As a life long student I really do listen but sometimes it’s just not right for me and I can get caught in worrying about advice or strategy from other people, or what will they thing, or I’m behind, or I’m a fraud etc. It bugs me when people don’t like me or don’t trust me or are critical or just have a weird vibe, but that’s going to happen so I need to move on and do me. I’ve come a long way, but I must break through even more for my final evolution of my book From Doormat to Dominance and Beyond.

I just need to follow my intuition and forgive myself for not listening, for putting proverbial hands over my ears and going lalalalalala. I am not listening. I am me and my intuition fuckin rocks.

I’m excited to get some people writing in 2016 for the next Sacred Writing Challenge on Jan 16, 2016.

If you have any interested in being supported in your personal business or writing project, contact me and ask to chat. Through my events and 1-1 coaching, I can help you hear your inner voice more loudly, like I have learned to, so you can create beautiful things in your life, writing or business and let people see you.

Perhaps by March, I will have moved beyond these challenges that I am working on now and I will be able to report that they are all wrapped up too.

Happy Solstice
Blessings
