It has been emotionally turbulent making my way here but now I can rest and relax today.

I did it. I made it.

And in a few weeks I will see my fiance.

Quarantine for 14 days.

To tell you I need to share a story. I navigated getting stuck for four days in London trying to get home to America in the winter of 2010.

I share what it taught me about making decisions on the fly and following my traveler’s instincts. 

This story occurs a few months after my book Freedom Year ends.

I traveled through Ireland by plane observing dawn with a full moon over the cloud.  

So beautiful and the experience taught me a lot about trusting my True Voice so I always know what to do next and feel certain about it.

How incredible is it to be alive right now?

There are so many ways to connect with other, real humans. They can make a very real difference.

Being in really conscious group and individual connections in the past few months has shifted something for me.

When I first got to the USA in July, after my year abroad in Japan, I was in an emotional spiral of recurrent complex PTSD symptoms.

I had to wrestle myself out of it. It’s hard to even describe how intensely stressful all those feelings, thoughts and memories are.

Connecting to communities, connecting to people in my real life, and working through all the things that keep us apart to try to communicate and synergize better have all reinvigorated me. That is why I created my own place to connect: the Creative Vision in Action Community.

Community has reminded me I am strong enough to contribute to others. It has led me to finding the support that will help me, the inspiration, motivation, and helpful critiques to do more.

So grateful.

Maybe you reading feel bad or have had hard times this year. I know being away from people more can trigger old wounds. Plus you may have had life plan changes due to COVID.

Reach out to people in your own communications. If you get that feeling like, “Oh, I want to connect to this person,” or, “Oh, I should just send this email to them.” Just go with it and listen to that.

Reach out to that person. Say, “Hi.” Listen to your True Voice talking.

Just be curious. Your impulse to connect randomly knows there may be exciting inspiration for you. See what will happen.

Have you ever picked up on someone else’s emotion? Like they get afraid, and you start thinking, “Oh no. Did I upset them? And now what are they thinking of me?” Now the fear spreads to you.

If you sense someone else believes YOU are feeling a certain way, you can even start to feel that. Someone else thinks you should be scared in your situation, so then you start feeling scared when you weren’t before.

Sensitive people, empathic healer types get dragged down all the time because they feel an emotional connection or energy cord to other individuals. 

Despite how POWERFUL you are, you can get bogged down by other people’s feelings.

It can become a whole vicious cycle, affecting you even when you are not even realizing it. Especially when people are very upset and triggered. 

It’s the middle of the pandemic, and in the USA often I can feel the tension in the air, a sense of alertness, or being an edge. People are a hair away from being triggered, and a small thing can easily become a big emotional situation.

So if you don’t want to feel small or scared, what do you do to step out of that fear and scarcity mode? 

Find people with similar intentions. 

Community will help you to relax and focus on things you’re creating, remember your gifts, and the things in your power. Connecting to a bigger community of creators, healers, and people who want to create light in the world reminds you that being of service makes you strong.

Belonging to a community of like minds will sustain you. Each of us has a light and a power within our energy field. If you connect to other people that want to build their energy towards feeling good and feeling pleasure, that helps you. If they are focused on expressing their gifts, listening to their True Voice, and making connections in a way that is a win-win, that feeds the positive energy even more.

The more you feed that positive energy as a group, the more grounded and anchored you’ll be. You’ll drop all the other distractions: the fear, the sadness, the anger, the despair, the junk that slows you down from making a better life for yourself or others.
