About Sofia Wren

A bit about me, Sofia Wren:

I’m a writer, editor, marketing consultant, writing coach and digital organization teacher.

And I am a human being. I’m not a therapist. I go to therapy but I try to do whatever I can to help myself, too.

After my dad died in 2021,

I’ve been depressed, sad, anxious, mad, for years

And this year in 2024, I hit a wall.

Anxious about trying to make my life better but

too overwhelmed to even hope.

Even though it always helps me cope with bad things (deaths of loved ones, abuse I had to endure, etc.) to do something to improve my life.

​I was just stuck. I couldn’t.

​Feeling like everything sucks and is complete garbage,

makes it so I have zero motivation and just want to stay in bed.

​I spent a long time in that place and I can’t do it anymore.

So finally I realized:

How can I be motivated to do anything if I don’t think some of it is actually going to be successful??

​I needed to try to be more optimistic.

So I made a process to be more optimistic so I would be more motivated….and it actually worked.

After just a few days of focusing on optimism, I wrote this:

I’ve already had the best birthday in years, and I’m noticing more happiness in my days than has occurred in a while.

My stress is going down, I’m singing again and playing guitar, I’m going to the gym, I’m cooking more, I’m feeling more lit up to write…

I’m LIVING MORE.
