Dear Writers and Book Lovers,

Perhaps you’ve always had a dream of writing a book and maybe you are stuck. It may be daunting to even start. Or maybe you started on your own or tried National Novel Writing Month and ended up with a draft you are too shy to show anyone because it ended up a mess.

Something you should know is that I don’t like outlines and I’ve done NaNoWriMo many times. During my first round of NaNoWriMo (out of 5), I finished my wordcount goal, but ended up with 100 or 200 pages of writing that I was embarassed to show anyone. It was impossible to edit. Since the resulting mess was too much to fix, I just gave up and started over on a new book. Then I did that all over again for a second round.

I read articles and books about plotting to try and fix the problem, even though trying to think through the plot felt so “not me”. Only in the third and fourth run did I discover a method that gave me the power to draft  Freedom Year. The book was so strong I was immediately able to share it with a critique partner, editors, and publish!

This technique came from combining perspectives from experts on writing, and brain theory, as well as other tools I picked up in training as a life coach and mentor.

The technique would have saved me years of messy drafts had I known it before, but at least I discovered it eventually.

Now that I’ve published Freedom Year, I’m working on a fiction series called Blood Witch. I just used my method again to outline, and draft the first book Dark Legacies in 6 weeks–and according to my editor, the bones are solid. This outline technique works. Now I’m making larger financial investments to market the series  because I am confident that others will like it, too–unlike those messy drafts I used to make without an outline.

If you want other people to read your book one day and want to be proud that you’ve written a compelling story, you need an outline. But if you are like me, and don’t like the thought of outlining or don’t know how, then I’ve got the answer.

I’d be honored to share the method that I created to help you write a strong, cohesive story that will help you shine as a writer.

Did you know that in writing there are two kinds of people? Pantsers and plotters.

  • Pantsers write ‘by the seat’ of their pants, discovering the story as they go along without knowing the full picture of where the story is going.
  • Plotters demand organization so that each step of the way, they know what each scene is about and how to write it so it fits into the book as a whole.

But…

What if there were some way to have the best of both worlds– to create a plan that allows enough freedom to write and feel spontaneous while also keeping you on track to create a crisp story that makes sense.

And what if you could learn this method with 1-1 assistance and apply it to your book in 3 hours?

Maybe you are like me— I like writing to be fun, but I hate analyzing my story. I want to stay in my character’s shoes and focus on what I feel like writing about each moment. I want to let the story take me on a ride.

So many writers advised that I outline my book first, but it just felt wrong. And stifling.

Luckily, through trial and error I discovered a method for planning a book that is completely different from anything you’ve ever learned.
